Met het verwijderen van de afdekkap heeft verkeerswethouder Rik van der Linden de eerste vernieuwde parkeerautomaat in Dordrecht in gebruik genomen. TMC heeft de bestaande automaten voorzien van kleurenschermen en contactloze betaalmogelijkheid en de automaten meteen klaargemaakt voor kentekenparkeren.

Vanaf 15 oktober 2018 heet Parkeon officieel Flowbird. De naam Parkeon zal niet meer gebruikt worden; in alle correspondentie wordt enkel nog de naam Flowbird gebruikt. Dit is de volgende stap in de fusie van Parkeon en Cale, die begin dit jaar is ingezet.
