creditcards

Recently, the Dutch banks have changed the rules for Payment Facilitators. New is that the it is required to include a code in the description which refers to the Payment Facilitator. That is why from now on 'TMC' is mentioned in the payment code on the bank statements of parkers who made an electronic payment on one of our parking machines.

Facilitating payment

TMC is a, by the Betaalvereniging Nederland (Payments Association Netherlands) certified APSP (Merchant Payment Service Provider). We can basically take care of the entire electronic payment process and financial flows for parking the municipalities collect with our systems. We do this for the majority of our customers; we receive the funds from the electronic payments at our parking meters and deposit them to the municipality.

'TMC*'

The bank statement of the parker usually states the following code 'P-yyyyy' where yyyy is the name of the city, optionally followed by a numeric code.

The banks have recently changed the rules for Payment Facilitators, it is now required to include a code in the description which refers to the Payment Facilitator. In our case the definition is preceded by 'TMC*'. Every parker performing an electronic transaction will see this new code on his or her bank statement. For example:

OLD: P - EINDHOVEN - 5830
NEW: TMC * P - EINDHOVEN - 5830
